To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

  • Before your enrolment application can be accepted for this course, you will need to have a clinical practice agree to supervise you, in order to complete your audiometric tasks. This can be evidenced by a Supervisor Statement that will be provided to you on your application.

  • To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you:

    • have a suitably qualified supervisor. You will be required to complete workplace cases that have been supervised by a qualified supervisor to compete this qualification.
  • To successfully complete this course, you will need:

    • to be able to complete assignments and case studies and undertake practical tasks in an audiometry clinic under the supervison of a qualified supervisor
    • to complete a video conference with TAFE NSW teachers or submit video evidence of tasks for some skills that must be assessed in the workplace

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Audiometry qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 19 Units of competency, including 11 core and 8 speciality units.

Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.

Course delivery Studying Online

Choose when and where you study. Set your own pace, with all your study materials online, allowing you to manage your own workload. Access your learning management system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a highly collaborative space that involves more than simply reading and consuming.

You will interact creatively with content, teachers and your peers, improving your overall engagement with the course. Teaching staff are available to provide you with support, enabling you meet your course outcomes.

You may need to attend a vocational placement, on campus assessment and/or a teacher might need to observe and assess you in a real or simulated environment. Online courses require access to a computer with an internet connection.
