This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for individuals to safely perform foundation digital literacy tasks using a personal computer and a range of software applications and digital devices.

This is a part time day course. You will need to attend approximately 10 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 9 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 9 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, research and preparation for assessments.

- have a very basic understanding of computers and how to use them
- would like to develop digital literacy skills
- would like to further their employment opportunities within the Information Technology field, or related area
After this course, you will be able to enrol in ICT 20115 Certificate II in Information, Digital Media & Technology, to further develop your digital skills.

This course is currently scheduled on a Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am to 2.00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

FULLY GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED
This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee.
