An individual with this qualification could work as an assistant programmer in a team of software developers, or as a support programmer to senior programmers or systems analysts.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
To complete this course within the given timeframe all learners will be required to work through a pre-planned schedule. Your teacher will provide you with a training plan/timetable on the first day of class.
The Certificate IV in Programming is a nationally recognised course for people who would like to develop skills in computer programming and can lead to careers like applications programmer, mobile applications developer or software developer.
In this course you will learn how to develop basic programming skills in the most widely used programming languages including C# and XML to develop mobile and other applications. You will also learn to design user interfaces using industry standard methodologies such as Object Oriented Design and Agile. You will be writing and testing code using an industry standard integrated development environment (Visual Studio).
To complete this course within the given timeframes all learners will be required to work through a pre-planned schedule. You may be required to complete some work at home to ensure you achieve your qualification.
All learners enrolled in Semester 2 2019 can complete ICT40515 Certificate IV in Programming by 30 January 2020 to ensure you are awarded otherwise learners who do not complete by 30 January 2020 will be transitioned into ICT40518. These learners will then have individual learning plans developed to enable them to seamlessly transition across.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
