Course Details

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to develop basic programming skills in the most commonly used programming languages.

An individual with this qualification could work as an assistant programmer in a team of software developers, or as a support programmer to senior programmers or systems analysts.

Face to face attendance for 18 hours per week for 18 weeks and 7.2 hours of prescribed self-paced activities. Depending upon each student's existing skillset and experience self-directed study may be required.

A message for young people under 17 years of age: If you are under 17 years and wish to enrol you will need to have completed Year 10, or have special permission from school and TAFE to do so.
