- Hold the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology this is not necessary but can be an advantage

With 130 locations across the state, TAFE NSW tailors qualifications to meet the needs of the local community and specific student groups (like apprentices, fast-tracked and online students). To make sure this course is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.
To successfully complete this course you will need Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills as defined in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). If you havent studied at this level or above before, you may be required to undertake an assessment of your LLN skills so that we can better understand your academic capabilities and identify areas where you may need support. If you do not meet these requirements a Teacher will discuss alternative options or support services available to help you achieve your study goals.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a Full Time, blended delivery course. You will need to attend approximately 21 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10.5 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 3.8 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, research, assignment preparation, engaging with Moodle, and practicing skills.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
It is anticipated that this cohort will comprise of learners who have completed lower-level qualifications, completed some IT studies in school, have some IT foundation experience or be upskilling to return to the workforce.
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to develop basic programming skills in the most commonly used programming languages.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.00am to 4.00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
