Course Details

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in supporting the design, development and programming of basic digital games briefs as part of a larger development team. The qualification has a small suite of core units with an opportunity to select units from specialist groups of electives across the different artistic or programming fields of the industry.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
While there are no formal entry requirements for this course, it is suggested that learners with no previous experience in games design or development should first complete the CUA31015 - Certificate III in Screen and Media (with a focus on Games Design and Digital Media) at Mt Druitt prior to attempting this course.

This course focuses on Games Development including: Games Coding, Games Design, 2D and 3D Models and Animations, Visual Effects and Professional Skills for working in the Games industry.
Upon successful completion of Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games, you may be eligible for course credit to study the following qualifications:
ICT50915 Diploma of Digital Media Technologies
ICT50215 Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games
Requirements to successfully complete this qualification include: Access and use of a computer and a internet connection (at TAFE NSW or home)
This course will be delivered 3 days per week over 18 weeks from 9:30 am to 4 pm. Further details will be provide on enrolment or at course information sessions. This course requires attendance for 18 hours per week over 18 weeks.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
