To be enrolled in this course, you will need the ability to work independently and a USI number. Please visit www.usi.gov.au and create a USI number. You will need at least one form of identification.
To successfully complete this course you will need pen/s and notebook, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). It is your responsibility to supply your Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Due to safety and hygiene regulations, students are to supply their own protective equipment. A standard list of items meeting the relevant Australian Standards should include:
No synthetic materials should be worn. The above equipment is required by all students undertaking courses within the Metal Fabrication and Welding section.
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Engineering qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 20 units of competency, including 5 core and 15 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
