All tools are loaned to students for one semester, however it is the student's responsibility to replace any lost or damaged tools.

The Certificate II in Engineering (Jewellery) course is a pathway to the Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture and the Certificate III in Design Fundamentals (Jewellery). You will acquire the foundation skills required by a Jeweller, working in areas of design and hand production. You will learn about Jeweller's materials and consumables, tools and equipment, measuring and marking out, filing, soldering, technical drawing, planning as well as occupational health and safety in the Jewellery Workshop.
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Engineering qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 20 units of competency, including 5 core and 15 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
