You will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality procedures, systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology plus some industry-specific skills in mechanical fitting and machining that are relevant to your current or intended employment.
The course duration will vary depending on the training pathway agreed to between you, your employer and the TAFE college.
This qualification covers the skills and knowledge rqurid to work as an Engineering Tradesperson - Mechanical within metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries or other industries where Engineering Tradesperson - Mechanical work. The qualification has been specifically developed for apprentices however, the course can be completed ouside of an apprenticeship.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is not available for non-apprentices.
Apprentices are required to provide evidence of their NSW apprenticeship to finalise their enrolment and applicable fees.
Under the NSW Government fee-free apprenticeship initiative, NSW apprentices that commence their training on or after 1 July 2018 may be eligible for fee-free training.
