Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of skilled florists who use a range of well-developed floristry skills to design, construct and sell a diverse range of floristry products. These individuals have sound knowledge of construction techniques and floristry design elements and principles. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision. They may provide technical advice and support to team members.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a florist in a diversity of floristry industry business types including retail floristry shops, studios and online floristry businesses.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification
You will study with multi award winning Florists in state of the art training facilities. You will be taught by professional florists who are recognised by the Industry as leaders in their field. You will have the opportunity to enter prestigious competitions such as the Sydney Royal Easter Show and The Flower Growers Group Scholarships. This course provides entry into Certificate III and IV in Floristry (conditions apply).

Online and study time will also be required. Students will be provide with all fresh flowers, sundries and tools for the practical sessions within this course. Finished work may be purchased through the Floristry Section.
Proposed Attendance: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30am, 11 hours per week in class for 36 weeks. You will also need to complete five to seven hours per week on Moodle studying course content.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

A fee applies for most TAFE NSW courses and must be paid when you enrol. The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. An initial payment of $80 is required to confirm your enrolment into this course. If you do not wish to continue with your enrolment, you must formally advise Customer Service of your withdrawal. If you do not withdraw prior to the commencement date of the course, this initial payment is non-refundable. Please contact us on 13 79 74 for further information.
