Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of skilled florists who use a range of well-developed floristry skills to design, construct and sell a diverse range of floristry products. These individuals have sound knowledge of construction techniques and floristry design elements and principles. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision. They may provide technical advice and support to team members.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a florist in a diversity of floristry industry business types including retail floristry shops, studios and online floristry businesses.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification
For the delivery and assessment of units within this course, students must provide their own tools for class each week including appropriate knives, rose de-thorner, scissors, secateurs, hot-melt glue gun, pliers and wire cutters.
Students are also required to provide their own appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. correct footwear and clothing. These items remain the property of learners.
Delivered 2 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday), 10.00am - 4.30pm in Block F, Floristry Room

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
