This is a Full Time course. You will need to attend approximately 11.9 hours of class, 3 days a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 12.2 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 1.2 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, skill practice and research.
This course is delivered at Campbelltown TAFE and your enrolment is managed by the Blue Mountains campus. Attendance is over 18 weeks on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays (9.30am to 3pm). Some sessions are designed as flexible delivery consisting of online activities, private study, skills practise and research and may consist of a mixture of both on and off campus delivery.

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course offering is designed for people who have:
- little or no experience working in a cosmetic/makeup environment and who would like to learn how to provide makeup services and sell retail cosmetics.
You will develop skills in working as part of a team or on a freelance basis to be able to gain employment in beauty and hairdressing salons, retail outlets and department stores.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 3.00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

You will need to provide the following resources which is retained on completion of study:
You must wear closed in protective footwear and clothing that is clean and professional for the industry. Flat totally enclosed non slip shoes are compulsory.
At the orientation session, your teacher will also provide information on how to purchase your own makeup kit. The makeup kit and personal protective equipment (PPE) is an approximate cost of $580 - $650.
