Location: TAFE NSW Bankstown, Building D, Level G, Room DG12
This is a full-time, face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 21 hours of class, 3 days a week for 18 weeks (6 months). As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 6 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 7 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment prep and research.
Please Note: The Wednesday class will be divided into two groups AM & PM. This will be organised in orientation or the first day of class. Everyone will need to attend the evening salon day, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
Have you completed a course before? If so, please provide any transcripts that you may have completed in other courses to your class teacher.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course offering is designed for people who may have little or no experience working in a makeup working environment. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a makeup artist. Employability skills that learners will be able to demonstrate at the end of the course will include the ability to apply makeup for day, evening and special occasions as well as camouflage and creative techniques.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday and Friday form 8.30am to 4.30pm, Wednesday 8.30am - 12.30pm or 4.30pm - 8.30pm - divided into 2 groups AM & PM. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

A fee applies for most TAFE NSW courses and must be paid when you enrol. The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. An initial payment of $80 is required to confirm your enrolment into this course. If you do not wish to continue with your enrolment, you must formally advise Customer Service of your withdrawal. If you do not withdraw prior to the first date of the course, this initial payment is non-refundable. Please contact us on 13 7974 for further information.

All items above will be retained by you and remains your property. More information will be handed out in the first week of class.
PLEASE NOTE: Dress code is all BLACK, NO SHORTS or SINGLETS, and footwear must be closed-in shoes. Lockers are also available for $50 for the duration of your course and is refundable once the key is returned to the Hairdressing store.
