You will be required to attend an information & screening session on Thursday 24th June 2021. Start time 10am end time 2pm at Liverpool College Block M, First Floor, Room MG:18 At the compulsory information session you will be advised of the course requirements, and related course costs as listed below. You will notified of your timetable, start date, days and times at the information session.
You will required to attend the following: (3 days per week) 21 hours per week x 18 weeks and 6.3 hours per week unsupervised skills practice x 18 weeks (492 hrs structured learning). You will also be required to undertake an additional 7 hours per week x 18 weeks of online revision, assignment prep, private study and elective practice (126 hours unstructured learning): total volume of learning 618 hours .
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course is designed for people who would like to work as a Make-up Artist in settings such as freelance in make-up studios, beauty salons, retail cosmetic counters, fashion and media sets and photography studios. You will develop skills and knowledge to perform a range of services across the beauty, fashion, media and entertainment industries.
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE PRIOR TO ENROLMENT OF
Local level entry requirements are identified at an ACFS level 3 for this qualification. As part of your enrolment, you will be required to attend a compulsory information session where you will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy screen to determine whether you meet the entry requirements or need additional LLN support or may need to enrol into an alternative pathway.

The way you learn may change during your enrolment to ensure the best learning experience or to keep you safe as COVID-19 restrictions change, and some of our face to face classes may change to online or virtual classroom learning. Also, to ensure that we keep you safe while studying, we may modify our face to face classes to meet physical distancing requirements and increased cleaning on campus. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, there may be a modification or delay in the planned timeframe due to COVID-19 impacts. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
This course is currently scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

You will be required to purchase equipment/tools of trade and personal protective equipment (PPE) at an approximate cost of $580 - $650 which you will keep as your own to use in class. You will be provided with information on options to purchase a uniform at orientation.
