Work placement

  • Non-trainees will need to be in either relevant employment or will be provided access to simulated workplace environments to complete the learning and assessment requirements.

  • COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have entry requirements, learners must have achieved a Certificate III in Retail or have relevant industry employment experience in a job role that involved the application of skills and knowledge of the core units in SIR30216.

  • Learners will be required to demonstrate practical components of the course either in a retail work environment or in a simulated retail environment. access to computer, internet Microsoft Word, USB and a recording device (mobile phone).

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Retail Management qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 11 Units of competency, including 7 core and 4 speciality units.

Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.

Course delivery Combination study

Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
