The nationally accredited Certificate III in Events is your ticket to working in the growing events, tourism and hospitality industry. You will learn all aspects of event coordination and gain the essential practical skills for producing and running successful weddings, business events and more.

This course offering is designed for people who:
To complete this qualification, you are required to:
- Attend both face-to-face and virtual classes at the allocated time on the timetable.
- Classes are not recorded therefore they cannot be taken at an alternate time slot.
- Participate in class activities via MS Teams and in the classroom as programmed
- Electronically submit assessment through MS Teams or TAFE NSW Moodle.
- Successfully complete all assessments for each unit in the course.
Delivery and class attendance
This course is combination delivery which consists of both Virtual classes (live streamed classes) and face-to-face classes.
Live-streamed classes require you to connect via the Microsoft Teams online platform.
You are provided with student access to MS Teams and Office 365 applications, once your enrolment is ACTIVE. Your enrolment is ACTIVE once you have paid your enrolment fees.
Travel, Tourism & Events Face-to-Face classes (where applicable) will be conducted at a either Bankstown, Blacktown or Campbelltown.
We will confirm the location of the face-to-face classes, once the course enrolments are finalised.
Assessments
Each unit has multiple assessments. Your teacher/s provide you with the all your assessment details as each unit begins. Assessments are submitted via MS Teams or the TAFENSW Moodle.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a Full Time Combinations course. You must attend approximately 18 hours of class. You may also be required to complete approximately 6 hours of additional study. This additional study could include private study, work placements and research.
The course will run 3 days a week for 18 weeks.

The way you learn may change during your enrolment to ensure the best learning experience or to keep you safe as COVID-19 restrictions change, and some of our face to face classes may change to online or virtual classroom learning. Also, to ensure that we keep you safe while studying, we may modify our face to face classes to meet physical distancing requirements and increased cleaning on campus. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, there may be a modification or delay in the planned timeframe due to COVID-19 impacts. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
This course is currently scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday with day classes and Friday with morning classes. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
