This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales or operational skills combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others, and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafs, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming.
Possible job titles include:
bar supervisor or team leader
food and beverage supervisor or team leader
front office supervisor or team leader
housekeeping supervisor or team leader
gaming supervisor or team leader

This is a Full Time Face to Face course. You will need to attend approximately 28.6 hours of class, 5 days a week 18 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 6.6 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including Assessment/Assignment Preparation, Private Study.

SIT50416 - Diploma of Hospitality
SIT60316 - Advance Diploma in Hospitality

This course is currently scheduled on Mondays 9.00am - 5.00pm, Tuesdays 4.00pm - 9.30pm, Wednesdays 9.30am - 4.00pm, Thursdays 9.30am - 3.00pm and Fridays 9.30am - 3.00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
