This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales or operational skills combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others, and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafs, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming.
Possible job titles include: bar supervisor or team leader concierge duty manager food and beverage supervisor or team leader front office supervisor or team leader housekeeping supervisor or team leader gaming supervisor or team leader shift manager.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

This is a Blended Full Time course. You will need to attend approximately 5 hours of class delivered via Video Conference, over 7 Face to Face workshops for 36 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 30 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including TAFE Service periods, work experience and private study.
Face to Face Workshops Monday's 9.00am - 3.00pm: 24th Febuary, 23rd March, 25th May, 19th June, 24th August, 19th October and 16th November 2020. In between Face to Face workshops students are required to engage for a minimum of 5hrs per week in an online learning platform and complete online learning material and TAFE NSW Developed Assessments.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
