Course Details

Cultivate your love for travel and customer service through a career in tourism. The nationally recognised Diploma of Travel and Tourism allows you to develop a comprehensive understanding of industry operations that will give you a competitive edge in this exciting industry.

Taught by industry professionals who all have years of expertise, this course covers:

- Managing finances and risk
- Producing marketing strategies
- Managing projects
- Analysing tourism data
- Managerial skills required to coordinate tourism duties or coordinate promotional activities

The Diploma of Travel and Tourism is your gateway to working in many sectors in the tourism and travel industry as a:

- Small Business or Department Manager
- Manager of Product
- Marketing
- Inbound groups
- Reservations and sales

This course gives you the opportunity to study online and apply for VET Fee Help, Smart and Skilled and Traineeships.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
Course information sessions will be held at TAFE NSW Bankstown: Building J, Level 4, Room J.4.13 on Wednesday 26 June and Wednesday 3 July at 10:00am and 6:00pm

Upon successful completion of SIT50116 Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management, you may be eligible for course credit to study the following qualification:
SIT60116 Advanced Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management or SIT50316 Diploma of Event Management
Proposed attendance: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Semester 2, 2019. 3 days per week in Semester 1, 2020. You will also be required to complete approx. 10-15 hours of work a week outside of class time.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.
