This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

This qualification (or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it) is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

The volume of learning of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is typically six months to two years.

Licensing/Regulatory Information
Achievement of this qualification by trainers is a requirement of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
To enrol in this upgrade Learners must hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 and hold the units TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners must produce a certified copy of their TAE40110 transcript which list the units including the TAEAS502 and TAELLN411.
Upgrade from TAE40110 to TAE40116

Face to face delivery - Learners are to attend training sessions with their trainer on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5.00pm. Learners will also be required to participate in Adobe Connect Classroom sessions for two hours per week.

Please Note you are enrolling in an upgrade from TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification. You must provide a certified copy of your TAE40110 transcript and certificate before classes commence.

To enrol in this upgrade Learners must hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 and hold the units TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners must produce a certified copy of their TAE40110 transcript which lists the units including the TAEAS502 and TAELLN411.
Proposed attendance: Monday and Wednesday from 5.00pm, 8 hours per week for 36 weeks. Learners will also be required to participate in a two hour, weekly facilitated Adobe Connect session.
