Course Details

This qualification reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products.

The volume of learning of a Diploma of Training Design and Development is typically one to two years.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
You will be required to complete approximately 5 hours of self-directed learning per week.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
Students will need to spend a minimum 10 hours per week completing learning activities and up to 15 hours completing assessment tasks as per the course timetable. As this is a blended delivery course, course work will be made available to you on Thursdays, LIVE webinars will be held each Thursday from 7.30pm, LIVE group collaboration sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 6.30pm and any scheduled workshops will be held on Thursday evenings commencing at 6pm at on Campus. Campus location and specific details will be provided on commencement of the course. These are not compulsory, although beneficial for those who can attend. All workshop outcomes are shared with all students in the course. Workshops are scheduled throughout the delivery period. You will be provided with a delivery schedule so that you can see when the workshops are scheduled well in advance. If you are unable to attend, all information and activities are posted on the moodle for you to access.

Enry Requirement:
The preferred entry pathway is for candidates to hold the Certificate IV Training and Assessment as this qualification underpins the Diploma learnings and application of skills and knowledge.

INFORMATION SESSION
There will be a pre-enrolment Information Session/Presentation held on Wednesday 31 July 2019 at 6:00pm at St George Campus, Building F, Lower Ground Floor, Room FLG19.
