Course Details

This is a general qualification for the Warehousing and Storage Industry.

It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

This course is superseded. You can still enrol in this course, and you will be contacted if you need to transition into the next version when it is available.

When you study with TAFE NSW, we want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the requirements listed in this section.

There are no Training Package entry requirements for this qualification.

It is assumed that you have literacy and numeracy skills at Certificate II level for success in this course. Contact your TAFE NSW campus if you have any questions about your suitability.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a full time, face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 19.4 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 18 weeks.

You may also be required to complete approximately 15 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including revision and study.

This course offering is designed for people who:

  • Are seeking employment within the regional Warehousing industry.
  • Require a defined range of skills and knowledge used in a warehouse environment by individuals who perform warehousing procedures.
  • Are likely to have limited existing experience or knowledge as this is an entry level pathway.

Learners include:

  • Pre-employment, school leavers and unemployed people managed by agencies in these regional areas and older learners wanting to retrain

Upon entry, the learner's LL&N skills will be assessed and communicated with the referring job agency to discuss learner's needs.
Students may have completed Certificate II in Warehousing Operations; these students would be able to seek credit transfer for this qualification.

Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am to 2.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
