Course Details

This is a qualification for those engaged in customs broker job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry.

Successful achievement of this qualification will require the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques for self and others.

The TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking qualification is aligned to the defined role: Customs Broker.

There are no Training Package entry requirements for this qualification.

It is assumed that you have literacy, numeracy and technical skills at Certificate IV level for success in this course. Contact your TAFE NSW campus if you have any questions about your suitability. STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a Part Time Evening blended course. You will need to attend approximately 5.5 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 2 years. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 1.5 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including research, reading and understanding legal instruction as per the Customs Act and other related Acts and regulations.

Following popular and successful delivery of this course using connected learning via MS Teams during Semester 1, the course will again be delivered by this method in Semester 2. Details and links will be forwarded to students in advance. As restrictions ease, the way you attend your class may change. Be assured we will keep you informed every step of the way.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.
