Course Details

This course is targeted at applicants who may have trained for the fashion industry and need to upskill in digital technical drawing to enhance employment options as a production assistant in the fashion industry. Students will learn the essentials of production technical drawing in a completely digital environment:

Working with finalised technical drawings, scanned or digitally developed fabric swatches and inspirational imagery to assist the company's fashion designer as they prepare to launch their ranges for marketing. A digital production assistant is also required to digitally format and layout the fashion designers storyboards for promotion and marketing and needs to understand the essentials of working with the Adobe suite in a fashion industry context.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.


This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you won't have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.

If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee $1990.

This course is designed for those who are working in the fashion industry.

This course is available to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents who are over 15 years of age, have left school and live or work in NSW.
This course is desgned for those who already have design experience and is designed to upskill in Fashion Computer applications using the ADOBE suite.

You will be expected to spend at least 3 hours per week in addition to your class time in completing research, assessments and practice.

Attend an information session and first class on Wednesday 31 July 2019 at 6:00pm
Location: Ultimo College, Mary Ann Street Ultimo, Building H, Level 2, Room H2.30.
