Putting TAFE NSW Students in the Spotlight
Vivid Sydney is one of the largest celebrations of creativity and innovation on the planet, and this year TAFE NSW students from various disciplines have joined forces to create three groundbreaking installations: Photonic State, Light Houses and Hidden Art - Augmented Garden. Follow their journey here.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Cultural Arts students from TAFE NSW Eora are teaming up with 3D Art and Animation students from the TAFE NSW Design Centre Enmore. Together they will create a series of works with an Aboriginal perspective, to be projected onto some of Sydney’s most iconic and culturally significant buildings as a part of Vivid Sydney 2018.
TAFE NSW 3D Art and Animation students have been busy conceptualising and preparing the visual elements for their Vivid Sydney 2018 display. The collaborative process has also been a challenging one for the students, with teachers having emboldened the students to further their individual approaches.
Students from from 10 different TAFE NSW locations around the state are working together to create a series of three spectacular installations for Vivid Sydney 2018. From tackling the challenges of remote collaboration, to navigating the difficulties of digitally mapping organic shapes, and bringing wondrous ideas into a physical reality, TAFE NSW students are busy preparing their work to put on display for the public.
Last year’s event attracted over two million people, and 2018 is set to be even bigger. Episode 1 of ‘Leading Lights’ introduces you to TAFE NSW students from 12 different courses as they create stunning installations that showcase their talents.
