Student nurse working in hospital

While studying a nursing course at our Gunnedah campus, you can guarantee to get access to our newly refurbished training facilities and placement opportunities.

New England Institute offers the Diploma in Nursing at the newly refurbished nursing unit at the Gunnedah Campus. This unit gives you a modern program with the latest technology including a simulated health ward complete with electronic 'Sim Man'. Sim Man simulates all of the human bodily functions. The facility boasts an observation clinical room, equipment room and lecture rooms enabling prospective Enrolled Nurses to develop their practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a 'real' health environment before they begin their 400 hours mandatory clinical placement.

New England Institute also works closely with the local area health service. This means you have a direct line to work placement with the biggest employer of Enrolled Nurses in the region. Many students gain employment across the local area health service and provide excellent patient care to the people of our local region.
