Engineering Services, Manufacturing and Engineering
Engineering Services at Meadowbank Campus is leading the way with cutting edge technology for students and industry. The campus has refurbished its fitting, machining and welding workshop facilities and engineering employers giving apprentices right across Sydney the latest equipment for their training.
Students have access to technologies including the latest TIG welders, computerised welding simulation, lathes, surface grinders and even a 3D printer. As part of the refurbishment, a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine was also installed. The CNC machine is the latest in manufacturing technology, providing students with experience that is vital for today's industry. A group from the Royal Australian Navy were the first students to experience our state-of-the-art CNC machine. Engineering undergraduates from Macquarie University also use our workshop for practical training and skill development.
