    Managing Director - Chloe Read

    Chloe Read is the Managing Director of TAFE NSW. She brings over 20 years of experience in public sector education and is recognised for her expertise in public policy, strategy, intergovernmental relations, program management and IT. Chloe is known for her ability to drive positive change and her strong commitment to the NSW skills sector.

    Leadership in education and public policy

    Chloe was appointed Managing Director of TAFE NSW in April 2025. Prior to joining TAFE NSW, she served for five years as Deputy Secretary, Education and Skills Reform, at the NSW Department of Education. During her tenure, she oversaw key initiatives, including the NSW VET Review and the development of the first NSW Skills Plan in over 15 years.

    Chloe joined TAFE NSW in January 2025 and has formed a strong connection to the organisation and the communities it serves. She is incredibly proud of TAFE’s impact and is continually inspired by the passion, expertise and student-first focus of its dedicated staff.

    TAFE NSW plays a vital role in delivering the skills that industries and communities across the state rely on. Chloe’s proven ability to drive positive change, combined with her deep understanding of the NSW skills sector and strong connections with schools, positions her to lead the organisation with confidence into the future.
