Certificate IV in Leadership and Management at Online Campus

Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple-choice questions, extended response, assignments.

Skills assessments: projects, case studies, demonstrations under observation.

TAFE Digital students will be required to submit video recordings of assessment role-plays and arrange participants if needed. Some assessments require more than 2 participants. Participants may include friends, family or colleagues.

Before you can start a traineeship, you first need to find an employer in the industry you're interesting in that will support you through your studies. You and your employer should contact an Apprenticeship Network Provider (APN) and tell them you're interested in studying at TAFE NSW. The ANP will help you and your employer to complete a Training Contract. Once you have a Training Contract, we will help you, your employer and the ANP to complete a Training Plan Proposal. Once you have both these documents, the ANP will lodge them with Training Services NSW and we contact you to completed your enrolment.

To successfully complete this course you should have:

• regular access to a computer with reliable internet connection
• good digital skills to confidently navigate through your online learning program and undertake online research
• good time management skills
• organisational skills to take responsibility for following your timetable, and managing your study schedule.

You will need to demonstrate skills in some assessments. This will require you to organise and participate in a number of role plays which you may be asked to video-record and submit for marking. You will need to:

• have access to recording equipment such as a camera or smart phone
• source adult colleagues, friends or family members who are available and willing to participate in your recorded role plays. Please note, TAFE Digital does not provide participants for your role plays. Please be aware that recordings will be retained by TAFENSW for audit purposes.

You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:

To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you are:

• a trainee (you will work in industry and study at the same time)

• employed full time

• signed up with an Apprentice Network Provider and have a Training Plan Proposal

• seeking to gain skills and knowledge to become qualified in Leadership and Management after successful completion
