      For work health and safety reasons, participants are required to wear one-piece cotton drill overalls or cotton drill trousers and a long sleeve shirt, and steel capped boots.

    • This course offering is designed specifically for beginners with no previous experience.

    • It covers the fundamentals of welding, heating and cutting ferrous metals, including:

      • General safety
      • Basic welding, heating and thermal cutting using oxy acetylene equipment
      • Manual metal arc welding
      • Gas metal arc welding
    • The program provides the opportunity for people to develop basic skills for their own private use or to enhance employability in any of the trace or maintenance areas.
