Materials needed
To complete this course, the following materials are required:
ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:
- PPE including
- Non-flammable clothing - Cotton drill overalls or work trousers and long-sleeved shirt. Shorts are not acceptable.
- Footwear - Leather steep cap boots must be worn. Nylon track shoes, thongs or sandals are not adequate.
- Safety Glasses - Suitable eye protection must be worn at all times to comply with Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
- Gloves - Suitable long leather gloves must be worn when arc welding or flame cutting. Gloves must be removed before using grinding machines.
- Oxy Welding Goggles - Are to be worn when oxy welding or cutting.
- Welding Helmet - Must be worn when arc welding. Cracked lenses must be replaced.
- Earmuffs/Earplugs - Are to be worn in all designated areas, and when requested by the teacher.
