    Work placement

    Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

    • You will undertake a mandatory minimum of 80 hours of work placement with a suitable industry employer.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Mental Health qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 units of competency, including 11 core and 4 speciality units.

    Course delivery

    Virtual classroom (on campus)

    Learn virtually by attending a TAFE NSW campus or Connected Learning Centre. Like learning on campus, you will receive a timetable of when to attend virtually. You'll use video or web conferencing technology to connect to your virtual classroom with your teacher and other students.

    Depending on your course, you may also complete some of your training online, or through our network of Mobile Training Units, which give you access to practical training and simulated environments.
