Our teachers

Belinda has worked on everything from Star Wars to The Wiggles to Sydney Theatre Company productions. The 2018 NSW VET Teacher of the Year now thrives on connecting students to industry. “I love sending students to work on film and TV productions. And I love being a teacher; it is a great feeling to harness students’ enthusiasm into new skills. They are delighted to learn something new, and their joy in mastering it is infectious.”

Todd has extensive teaching and educational management experience, as well as industry experience working as an Interior Designer for high-profile corporate design firms in both Sydney and Melbourne. Todd is passionate about design, architecture, art and events and is the current Vice President of the Design Institute of Australia, NSW Council.

Vincent graduated from DCE in 2005, going on to work as a 3D artist on feature films, plus as an interactive games illustrator and a computer systems administrator. With skills in 3D modelling, rendering, visual effects, compositing, rigging and programming, as well as being a Beta-tester for the industry standard Autodesk Maya and Mudbox software, Vincent is the perfect person to head up DCE’s Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation.
Our graduates

Tim Strain graduated with a TAFE NSW Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation Degree and now works as a 3D animator on films such as Gods of Egypt, Ghostbusters, Alien Covenant and Peter Rabbit. Tim says that the real world approach of his degree meant that, “once I was actually faced with the work, I felt quite ready and prepared.”

Greg Natale is an internationally renowned designer, with his work featuring in Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, Vogue Living and Belle Australia. The winner of the International Luxury Designer of the Year for 2016, Greg hasn’t forgotten where he started. “(DCE) was a really amazing place. It was my foot in the door of the industry.”

Olivia began as an intern at Davenport Campbell, one of Australia’s leading interior design firms, in her final year of a Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) at DCE – and has since blossomed in her career. She has been involved in several large scale fit-outs for companies like the Commonwealth Bank, Bank West and The Prime Minister and Cabinet. Olivia is “passionate about design as it can change the way people think and work.”
