    Apply now for a Destination Australia Scholarship

    Supporting students in regional communities

    Funded by the Australian Government, the Destination Australia Scholarship is designed to attract and support students who choose to live and study in regional communities.

    The scholarship assists with the costs of living and studying in regional Australia and is valued at:

    • $15,000 per year for courses delivered over 12 months
    • $22,500 total (capped) for courses delivered over 18 months.

    Applications for a Destination Australia Scholarship are now closed.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for a Destination Australia Scholarship, you must:

    • be a new student to TAFE NSW (as defined on the application form)
    • be enrolled in an eligible course and location under the TAFE NSW Destination Australia Program (listed above)
    • study full-time and attend face-to-face classes
    • maintain ongoing residency in a regional area (as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard’s for the duration of each study period
    • demonstrate commitment to your studies and career goals (e.g. by listing achievements, an action plan, or key skills)
    • demonstrate positive academic values to represent TAFE NSW (e.g. through grades, attendance, or character traits).
