Are you a dedicated TAFE NSW student residing in the Mid-Western Region Local Government Area? If so, you should apply for the Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship in 2024.

Sandy Smith was a highly respected teacher at TAFE NSW Mudgee and a member of the Rotary Club of Mudgee. She was passionate about TAFE NSW and dedicated her career to supporting students to achieve their study and career goals.

The Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship continues to recognise Sandy’s legacy and her commitment to TAFE NSW’s values. The scholarship, valued at $500, is awarded to one deserving student.

Applications for the Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship is now closed.

To apply for the Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship, you must:

• be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• reside in the NSW Mid-Western Regional Council local government area, including Mudgee, Gulgong, Kandos and Rylstone
• meet all applicable TAFE NSW enrolment requirements
• be currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW course
• explain how the funds will be used to support study and future career goals
• demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals. You can do this by listing achievements, creating an action plan or identifying your skills and strengths.
