    Apply for an S&L Steel Work and Safety Scholarship

    Funding to support study and work in the WHS industry

    Are you studying a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (BSB41419) at TAFE NSW? Get extra support with an S&L Steel Work and Safety Scholarship. This scholarship, in collaboration with industry professionals S&L Steel, aims to improve WHS competence and support future WHS leaders in NSW.

    Scholarships are available for eligible students, employees with limited WHS responsibility, and jobseekers aiming for WHS careers. TAFE Digital and students from rural and regional NSW are encouraged to apply.

    Each scholarship, worth up to $1,570, assists with various study and living expenses. This way, you can concentrate on your education and develop a wide range of practical knowledge and skills without the burden of financial stress.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for an S&L Steel Work and Safety Scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled and studying a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) at TAFE NSW
    • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen and be living in NSW
    • be enrolled and studying, or employed in a role that involves limited responsibility/supervision of others in a WHS context, or be an enrolled and studying jobseeker intending to pursue a career in the WHS field
    • demonstrate a commitment and motivation to study and complete the course, and to gain employment
    • agree to be a part of the S&L Steel scholarship program feedback process.
