    Apply for an S&L Steel Work and Safety Scholarship

    Funding to support study and work in the WHS industry

    Are you studying a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (BSB41419) at TAFE NSW?

    Developed in collaboration with industry professionals S&L Steel, this scholarship aims to improve WHS competence and support future safety leaders across NSW.

    Scholarships are open to:

    • Eligible students
    • Employees with limited WHS responsibilities
    • Jobseekers aiming for a career in WHS.

    Online Campus students and those living in rural and regional NSW are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Scholarship Value Each scholarship is valued at up to $1,570 to assist with study and living expenses. This support allows you to focus on your education and build practical skills without the burden of financial stress.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for the S&L Steel Work and Safety Scholarship, you must:

    1. Enrolment & Residency
      • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen living in NSW.
      • Be enrolled in and studying the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) at TAFE NSW.
    2. Student Profile
      You must fit one of the following profiles:
      • Employed: Currently working in a role that involves limited WHS responsibility or supervision of others.
      • Jobseeker: Intending to pursue a career in the WHS field.
    3. Commitment
      • Demonstrate motivation to successfully complete the course and gain employment.
      • Agree to participate in the S&L Steel scholarship program feedback process.
