Are you graduating from your hospitality, cooking, baking, patisserie, travel, tourism, or events qualification in 2024 or 2025? You should apply for the William R Galvin Memorial Scholarship, valued at $5,000. The scholarship supports further study, training, or work placements in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries in Australia and overseas.
This TAFE NSW scholarship takes the name of Bill Galvin, a former teacher and influential figure in the tourism and hospitality industry. Bill held various leadership positions in hospitality and tourism, including Chief Executive of Tourism Training Australia and Chair of the Tourism, Hospitality and Catering Institute. Bill’s passion for training and supporting young people led him to receive the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 1997.
