Apply now for the WILMA Scholarship

Women who live or study in the Macarthur region are now invited to apply for the 2026 WILMA Scholarship.

In 2026, TAFE NSW will award $1,500 to empower a woman from the Macarthur region who is experiencing financial hardship, recovering from family/domestic violence or facing other significant barriers to participation by providing financial support to undertake study at TAFE NSW. To apply, select the Apply now button below and select ‘WILMA Scholarship’ from the Scholarship drop down menu.

Applications for the 2026 WILMA Scholarship close 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday, 14 October 2026.

Applications will need to satisfy the following eligibility and selection criteria:

• Enrolled or planning to enrol in a nationally accredited course at TAFE NSW in Semester 2, 2026.
• Studies or lives within the Macarthur area.
• A woman by birth or identity.
• An Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.
• Demonstrates experience of significant barriers to study, for example: financial hardship; recovering from family/domestic violence; or other barriers.
• Demonstrates determination in achieving their study and career goals.
• Has not received a scholarship from TAFE NSW or the Hunter TAFE Foundation with a closing date later than 14 October 2025.
• If aged under 18 years, permission from a parent or legal guardian may be required. If a parent or legal guardian is not available, please contact SEPscholarships@tafensw.edu.au to arrange a time to discuss your options in confidence.
