The Wine & Spirit Education Trust
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) provides world-class education and qualifications in wine and spirits. WSET qualifications are globally recognised as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge.
They are designed for beginners starting their careers and for experienced professionals. They also suit enthusiasts with a passion for wine and spirits.

Wine Australia
Wine Australia is a statutory authority of the Australian Government. It is funded by grape growers, winemakers and government support through levies and fees.
One of its key roles is promoting Australian wine locally and internationally. The Sydney Wine Academy proudly includes Wine Australia’s education program, Australian Wine Discovered, in its Australian courses.
Wine Australia also plays a key role in:

- regulating the export of Australian wine and ensuring quality standards

Wine Communicators of Australia
Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) is the leading organisation for wine industry professionals. It has over 500 current members.
Its annual program includes:
- networking events that connect professionals from all areas of the wine sector
- webinars with expert speakers on industry trends, marketing and communication
- lunches held during major wine shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, offering chances to meet key industry figures
- the Wine Communicator Awards, which recognise excellence in wine storytelling across all media
- the Legend of the Vine Awards, which honour people who have made outstanding contributions to Australian wine.
Wine Scholar Guild
The Wine Scholar Guild (WSG) provides specialist wine education and certification focused on the wines of France, Italy and Spain.
These in-depth programs suit advanced students, wine professionals and enthusiasts who want to deepen their knowledge of classic regions.
Wine Scholar Guild programs offer:

NSW Wine Industry Association
Established in 1994, the NSW Wine Industry Association is the peak body for grape growers and winemakers in New South Wales. The Association focuses on collaboration, advocacy and growth. It plays an important role in shaping the state’s wine industry.
It brings together members from across the sector to strengthen the voice of NSW wine locally and nationally.
Commonly known as ‘NSW Wine’, the organisation:
- advocates for its members and the wider wine industry
- represents New South Wales on national wine issues
- supports education and skills development
- promotes the state’s 16 unique wine regions.
