Academic records

At TAFE NSW you can access and request records of your current and past studies. Learn about your academic transcripts and certificates.

Transcripts are the official record of the units or subjects you’ve completed during your studies. They also list your results.

You can use them for:

• evidence of your studies and results
• job applications
• licensing and accreditation
• enrolling in further study or training.

TAFE NSW transcripts list all the units or subjects you’ve completed with us. We print them on official paper and we can’t email them to you.

We’ll post your transcript with your course certificate when you successfully complete your course. If you’re a current student, you can view your transcript and results in your Student Hub.
 
If you’ve lost your transcript, you can ask for a printed copy by calling Student Services on 131 601.

A USI vocational education training (VET) transcript shows all the nationally recognised training you’ve completed since 2015. This includes your studies with TAFE NSW and other registered training providers.

You can access your USI VET transcript through your Unique Student Identifier (USI) account. It’s free to view and is an official, government-approved document.

You can use your USI VET transcript to:

• apply for credit transfer
• show you meet entry requirements for future training
• support or replace original documents
• prove your qualifications to employers and other organisations
• avoid unnecessary retraining.

With your USI account and USI VET transcript, you can:

• give a training organisation permission to view your transcript
• create and download a full copy or an extract to share.

When you successfully complete your course, you’ll get your academic certificate. This may also be called a testamur.

Your certificate is proof of your study achievement and you may need it to enrol in further study. It will show the full title of you qualification and your legal name.

The type of certificate you receive will depend on the type of course you have completed. We’ll email you to confirm your postal address before we send your certificate.

Keep your certificate in a safe place. There’s a $120 replacement fee if you need a new one.
