    LGBTIQA+ community at TAFE NSW

    alt=””

    At TAFE NSW, we want every LGBTIQA+ student to feel welcomed and included from the moment you start your journey with us. You belong at TAFE NSW and we’re proud to have you with us.

    Glow with pride, grow with skills

    Pride here is vibrant and joyful, but it’s also grounded in feeling safe. You deserve a space that lets you relax into being yourself. That honours your identity and lets you learn and grow with confidence.

    Connected by Pride

    Students from TAFE NSW Design Centre Enmore designed and built our Bloomin’ Pride float for the 2026 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Months of teamwork, creativity and courage came together in a powerful celebration of community, identity and belonging.

    What Pride means to us

    • Testimonial ‘You are part of a community that spans generations, cultures and experiences. And you deserve to take up space in that community, exactly as you are, and exactly as you’re becoming.’

    Everyone deserves a safe place to learn

    At TAFE NSW, there is no room for bullying, harm, homophobia, transphobia or any behaviour that makes you feel unsafe. We want to nurture a culture that celebrates differences. Where inclusion is not just a word but something you feel in small ways every day.

    We won’t always get it right. When something isn’t working, we want to know about it so we can be better.

    You can:

    • talk to a trusted teacher
    • call 131 601, or
    • lodge a complaint in the student portal so we can support you better. Your feedback helps us make TAFE NSW safer and more inclusive for you and everyone.
