At TAFE NSW, we’re committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces for LGBTIQA+ students and staff. Our LGBTIQA+ Action Plan supports people from the LGBTIQA+ community to fully participate and thrive while studying or working at TAFE NSW.
LGBTIQA+ is used inclusively to represent diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and sex characteristics, including Sistergirl and Brotherboy identities.
We envision a future where LGBTIQA+ people, across all identities and experiences, feel a genuine sense of belonging. We build a culture of respect and opportunity where everyone feels valued and included. We want people to feel empowered to bring their authentic self to work and study.
The LGBTIQA+ Action Plan focuses on 4 key areas. Each area supports inclusion, safety and opportunity for students and staff.
We’re committed to creating safe, fair and inclusive places to learn and work, where all LGBTIQA+ students and employees feel supported. We want everyone to have the opportunity to take part, succeed and grow in their studies and careers.
Safety and fairness are essential for learning and work. Inclusive systems help LGBTIQA+ people feel respected and supported. This improves wellbeing and confidence.
