    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

    • Successful completion of a Certificate III in Floristry, shown by a copy of your transcript or certificate, or at least 6 years’ floristry industry experience, shown by your resume or a letter from your employer.

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • clothing suitable for industry, including enclosed, protective, non-slip footwear with no heal or low, safe heal

    • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

    • a reasonable level of fitness to stand for at least 3 hours and lift up to 5 kilograms in weight

    • fine motor skills to complete wiring practicals

    • intermediate technology skills to research, complete assessments and navigate online learning.

    • You can understand documents you see often in everyday life.

    • You can write short sentences and paragraphs that others can understand.

    • You can speak clearly and explain your thoughts in a group.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Floristry qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 12 ​​units of competency​, including 6 core and 6 speciality units.
