    Licensing

    To work in this industry, you’ll need an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). This is required for flight crew and general airport staff. You can apply through approved ASIC issuing bodies.

    Depending on your state or territory and the airline, you may also need to meet additional regulatory requirements. Before enrolling in this course, make sure you understand these requirements. Visit the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) website for more information.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 ​​units of competency​, including 10 core and 5 speciality units.
