    Assessments

    Assessments let you show what you've learned and check what you may need to work on.

    • Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple-choice questions, extended response, assignments

    • Skills assessments: projects, case studies, demonstrations under observation

    Work placement

    Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

    • Learners are encouraged to attend one of the Information Sessions before course commencement. At the session you will have the opportunity to meet teachers and discuss the timetable and other requirements. Enrolled learners will undertake an orientation session during the first week of class.

    Materials needed

    To complete this course, the following materials are required:

    • You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:

      • general stationery, (ie, pen, pencil, eraser, highlighters, and stapler)
      • A4 ring binder/dividers, and plastic sleeves for handouts
      • headphones
      • a USB storage device, or access to a cloud storage account, will also be required
      • access and use of a computer, as well as a fast internet connection, is a requirement to successfully complete this qualification

    Learn virtually, from anywhere with a strong internet connection. Like learning on campus, you will receive a timetable of when to attend virtually. You'll use video or web conferencing technology to connect to your virtual classroom with your teacher and other students. When attending off campus, you can choose where you want to study. This could include your home, a local library, or any TAFE NSW campus. You can contact TAFE NSW campuses to book a space. Depending on your course you may also complete some of your training online.
