
Use maths to understand how a process is performing and how to improve it. Work with functions, graphs, statistics and basic calculus so you can support quality, solve problems and make better decisions in manufacturing. This course is part of the Manufacturing Centres of Excellence (MCoE) program. To be eligible, you must live in NSW.
During this course you'll learn to:
work out and explain how things change over time in manufacturing, such as speed, temperature, flow or production rates
read and draw graphs, use formulas and work with vectors to solve practical engineering problems
use averages, spread and basic probability to understand what your data means
use simple quality tools, such as control charts, to check if a process working the right way
use maths and data to support decisions that improve accuracy, safety and quality in a workshop or production setting.
