    To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

    • You must be able to stand unaided for long periods or 3-6 hours at a time in a laboratory/brewery; must be able to have enough manual dexterity to use instruments and equipment; must be able to carry small pieces of glassware, equipment, raw materials from one laboratory/brewery site to another; must be able to follow simple instructions in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and do basic laboratory calculations. Must be able to communicate well and be part of a team.

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Artisan Fermented Products qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 22 units of competency, including 9 core and 13 speciality units.

    Course delivery

    Combination study

    Learn through a combination of on-campus classroom, virtual classroom, online, and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled face-to-face or virtual classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

    Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
