If you’re aged between 15 and 17 years old, you can enrol at TAFE NSW, however you may need to supply some additional information, for example:
Your Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or that you've completed Year 10 or an equivalent course.
If you’re homeschooled, your Certificate of homeschooling registration.
Parent or guardian consent.
You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
Work placement opportunities, if any, will be confirmed with your teacher.
Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development.
Knowledge assessments: short answer, extended response, research and theory tasks
Practical skills assessments: demonstrations under observation. Depending on your location, you may be required to provide clients for your practical classes and assessments.
Simulated workplace projects: scenario-based problem solving
Completion of this course requires you to successfully complete 12 units of competency, including 8 core and 4 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
Learn through a combination of on-campus classroom, virtual classroom, online, and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled face-to-face or virtual classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.
Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
