Are you a numbers person? Are you motivated to work in finance or accounting?

If you are studying at TAFE NSW in the Hunter or Central Coast regions, this scholarship can help you achieve your career goals. We know that pursuing your dream profession can be financially challenging, and this scholarship acknowledges your dedication to your studies.

Valued at $1,500, each successful nominee for this scholarship will receive $500 upfront, and $1,000 once their course of study has been completed within 18 months of the scholarship being received.

This financial support aims to reduce study expenses and help you complete your course, so you can enter the workforce with confidence.

Nominations for the Bean Counters Encouragement Scholarship close 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

Teacher nominations are accepted for the Bean Counters Encouragement Scholarship. To be eligible for nomination, you must:

• be enrolled in the Certificate III in Accounts Administration (FNS30322) or Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (FNS40222) at a TAFE NSW location in the Hunter or Central Coast regions, or through TAFE Digital
• live and study in the Hunter or Central Coast regions
• explain how personal or financial challenges affect your studies
• demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals (for example, by listing achievements, creating an action plan, or identifying your strengths)
• demonstrate positive academic progress, strong attendance, and align with TAFE NSW and Hunter TAFE Foundation values
• not have received another scholarship or award from the Hunter TAFE Foundation or TAFE NSW in the last 12 months
