Hunter TAFE Foundation

The Hunter TAFE Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working with business, education and community leaders to support education and training at TAFE NSW in the Hunter and Central Coast regions.

Established in 2000, the Foundation has a rich history in the region, having evolved from the Newcastle Technical and Further Education Committee Trust Fund, which received its first donation in 1936 to support skills for employment.

Today, the Foundation provides financial support to TAFE NSW students in the Hunter and Central Coast who are experiencing personal or financial hardship, assisting them to complete their studies.

Throughout the 2023/2024 financial year, the Foundation recognised 82 students across 25 categories, distributing $105,030 in funding thanks to our dedicated partners. It is with the ongoing support of our loyal donors that the Hunter TAFE Foundation can continue to assist students from diverse backgrounds to successfully complete their studies, enter the workforce or enhance their career pathways.

    How can I donate?

The Hunter TAFE Foundation accepts donations from individuals, organisations, and community groups, who share the vision of the Foundation, to support and encourage students studying in the vocational sector throughout the Hunter and Central Coast regions.

There are two ways to donate:

    • A one-off or ongoing donation to the Hunter TAFE Foundation, to support scholarship programs in priority areas.
    • Establish a new, customised scholarship fund in your business, organisation or individual name.

All contributions made through a donation to the Hunter TAFE Foundation, to further or advance education at TAFE NSW in the Hunter and Central Coast, are fully tax deductible.

Interested in establishing an award or scholarship?

Individuals and organisations are invited to make an annual donation to support continued education in the Hunter and Central Coast regions.

We recognise that some donors may wish to establish an award or scholarship that aligns with their specific field of expertise. The Hunter TAFE Foundation classifies this as a Dedicated Fund.

Dedicated Funds are strictly used for the purpose specified by the donor.
